Importing Products into the UK from the EU & EEA - IMPORTANT CHANGE ANNOUNCED

UK Government has cancelled plans to introduce phased import controls on EU food consignments at the UK border in 2022. See link below.

The checks planned for 1 July 2022 onwards will not now be implemented. A comprehensive Government review will now take place with a "Target Operating Model" published in late 2022/early 2023 which will set out the principles of new regime targetted for the end of 2023.

The requirement to pre-notify consignments prior to arrival in our ports remains in force.
