Student Group in action!

The Hull & Goole Port Health Authority has a long and proud tradition in offering Port Health training to hundreds of student EHP’s (EHOs).

A new programme of dedicated Training Days started in 2004 in respond to demand and proved to be very successful.

Our aim was to provide certificated logbook or “experiential learning portfolio” assistance you would never forget!

* Please see update below.

This is what some students said;

".........a really enjoyable and informative day which I found interesting and it has inspired me to hopefully pursue a career in Port Health" - April

"......stories of experiences excellent! Very recommendable" - anon. 13/10/04

"...how useful I found the course...invaluable to my training....it was really well organised and everyone was very friendly & welcoming. There was a fantastic positive atmosphere which helped to make the day enjoyable & informative. I will highly recommend the course to next years students & to my uni lecturers!" - Jessica.

"......many thanks to you & your team for going to the considerable effort to organise the day, it was appreciated by all who attended" - Richard

" I found the day very enjoyable and most educational. I would strongly advise future students to attend" - David 30/3/06

"....an interesting and informative day......the 4.5 hour drive was worth it in order to get some insights into imported food controls ....I am recommending my student colleagues to attend"  - Richard 18/10/07

* Please note that our long-running programme of Student EHP Training Days has now been suspended due to an unfortunate but apparent lack of student interest or support......................

However we may host 1 day student events for pre-booked party groups of 8 - 12 keen student EHPs. We may also be able to accommodate individual requests for 1 day visits. Please contact the Chief Port Health Inspector well in advance.
